I was looking at different quotes and this one seemed to catch my attention.

The old ways are dead. And you need people around you who concur. That means hanging out more with the creative people, the freaks, the real visionaries, than you're already doing. Thinking more about what their needs are, and responding accordingly. Avoid the dullards; avoid the folk who play it safe. They can't help you any more. Their stability model no longer offers that much stability. They are extinct, they are extinction.
Hugh Macleod, How To Be Creative: 16. The world is changing. , 08-22-04

I believe that you need to be with people that challenge you, in good ways of course. That make you work to do things that you may not have done, or would not think to do. If the you hang out with people that don't agree with what you believe in then eventually you may change your point of view without realizing you are. I think that Hugh Macleod is also saying that more people should be open to the creative people, the freaks, and visionaries. Many times people just have an opinion of somebody before they even got to know these people, and don't get to see what they believe or have to say. What they believe could actually be the same as what you do or similar to it.
